Swagat has catered parties, office events and family gatherings across the Portland metro area for over thirty years. We cater from all three of our restaurants — Beaverton, Hillsboro and NW Portland.

North Indian, South Indian, and the regions in between

India doesn't have one cuisine, it has dozens. The spices change, the staples change, and a dish from Andhra tastes nothing like the same dish from Maharashtra. We cook across those regions, and if you're from somewhere in particular, tell us — we'd rather cook the food you grew up with than a generic version of it.

We build the menu with you

Catering starts with a conversation, usually fifteen to thirty minutes. You tell us the occasion, the guest count, what your guests like and any allergies we need to work around. We come back with a menu built for your event.

Dietary requirements

Our approach is to build a menu that naturally suits your guests rather than modify dishes to fit. Each of our dishes is tuned to taste a particular way, and stripping ingredients out rarely improves it. With a menu this large there's almost always a better answer — something already vegan, already vegetarian, already made without the ingredient in question.

Our vegetarian range is as large as our meat menu, and our home-style goat curry is halal. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free facility, so we can't guarantee against cross-contamination, but we're happy to talk through which dishes contain gluten.

How it works

Catering is available for parties of 25 people or more. Complete the form below with your date, guest count and any dietary requirements, and someone from the restaurant will get back to you with confirmation and pricing.

Smaller party? Order from our regular menu for pickup or delivery instead.

Catering orders can be collected from any of our three restaurants. Delivery is available for orders of 50 people or more.
